Darpan Registration

Overview

NGO Darpan is an online platform maintained by NITI Aayog in partnership with the National Informatics Centre that creates a unique identity for voluntary organisations and NGOs. The unique ID issued on the portal is required for NGOs seeking grants and support from various central government ministries and departments. It is a signup and verification process rather than a registration under a specific Act, and it links the NGO's existing registration and key office bearer details.

Objective

To register an NGO on the NITI Aayog NGO Darpan portal and obtain the unique ID required to apply for government grants.

Eligibility

• The organisation must be a registered trust, society, or Section 8 company

The process

1. 1
   Collect NGO and office bearer details

   We gather the NGO's registration certificate, PAN, and the PAN and Aadhaar of at least three office bearers.

   Create the portal account

   Our team signs up on the NGO Darpan portal and verifies the registered email and mobile number through one-time passwords.

3. 3
   Enter and submit organisation data

   We fill in the NGO details, registration information, sectors of work, and office bearer data, then submit the application.

4. 4
   Obtain the unique ID

   On successful verification, the portal issues the unique ID, which we share with you for use in grant applications.
